Sridhar told disciple Atmaprabhananda to meet Sun Network Ayyappan
On 2nd March, Sri Nithya Atmaprabhananda, one of the Administrators contacted advocate Sridhar. Sridhar had assured to stop the airing of the morphed images after having received a portion of the demanded money. Sridhar called Sri Nithya Atmaprabhananda to meet him in Chennai to “sort out some issues”.
Atmaprabhananda met advocate Sridhar. Sridhar put him on to Ayyappan. This is the first time, Atmaprabhananda had met Sridhar and Ayyappan.

Who was Ayyappan?
Sun Television Ayyappan was the right-hand man of Hansraj Saxena. Hansraj Saxena was the college friend and trusted aid of Kalanidhi Maran, billionaire media baron, owner of Sun Network, grand nephew of the then Chief Minister Karunanidhi. Hansraj Saxena was the COO of Sun Network.
Was the Chief Minister of the State of Tamil Nadu involved?
Kalanidhi Maran is the grandnephew of Karunanidhi, the five-time Chief Minister of the State of Tamil Nadu. Karunanidhi was one of founders of the political party DMK - Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, and it’s longest serving leader. DMK is a leading atheistic anti-Hindu political party of Tamil Nadu. Kalanidhi Maran’s brother, Dayanidhi Maran, was a cabinet minister in the central government, as the Union Telecom Minister from his great uncle's political party - DMK.
Why were powers who were behind a Rs. 1,76,000,00,00,000 (~$26 Billion USD) scam, airing the fabricated obscene video of His Divine Holiness?
As the Union Telecom Minister, Dayanidhi Maran, has his named involved into several scams such as - **2G Spectrum Scam -**Comptroller and Auditor General (The federal auditor of India) reported that the difference between the money collected in 2G spectrum auction and that mandated to be collected was Rs. 1.76 trillion (US$26 billion), based on 2010 3G and BWA spectrum-auction prices. As the Union Minister of Telecom and Communication, Dayanidhi Maran had overridden Telecom Regulatory Authority of India and made some changes in the auctioning process.
Telephone Scam- Dayanidhi Maran was accused of having installed a private telephone exchange with 764 telephone lines at his residence to facilitate illegal uplink of Sun Network data, causing a loss of Rs 1.78 crorein revenue to state-run telecom majors BSNL and MTNL. A larger loss is estimated for the actual infrastructural investment.

In 2007, Dinakaran, a newspaper owned by the Sun group, published the results of what it said was a statewide survey projecting their Chief Minister granduncle - Karunanidhi's younger son, Stalin, as the likely heir to Karunanidhi, with 70 per cent of the respondents supporting him, while older son Alagiri got 2 per cent. Enraged Alagiri supporters vandalised the Dinakaran offices.

Atmaprabhananda met Ayyappan and broached the subject of the morphed video to him.
Ayyappan demanded,“Where is the Rs. 60 crores ($10 Million USD)?”
Atmaprabhananda has no answer for Ayyappan’s demand
Sri Nithya Atmaprabhananda was sweating, he mumbled and stammered. He was not able to say anything. He had just found out, the fabricated video had been released and the aadheenam had been set on fire by a mob of more than a thousand. He just knew, His Divine Holiness’ life was in danger. He had to save Him, He had to save his Guru. He was afraid of risking his guru’s life, by his own stupidity. He was in an internal conflict, a decision deadlock - how to get the money, from where to get the money.

Ayyappan continued,“Still you don’t understand whom you are against? Understand one thing
- not only would the telecast of the morphed video be stopped, but His life will also be spared. Do you get it?”
Baffled and confused, Atmaprabhananda simply nodded.
“Nobody will help you. Police instead of helping, will be putting you all behind bars,” said Ayyappan
Ayyappan continued,“That woman, Aarthi, is under our control. Already, thousands have started attacking your ashrams, burning it down. If your guru remains alive, Aarthi will slap FAKE rape cases against Him. Which police will you call for help? The same police will be putting you behind bars for all the false complaints we will file against all of you! Do you want to try? Come to the police station with me. Every police officer salutes me. They know whose man I am. Understand, consider this a friendly warning - consequences will be disastrous. Are you getting it?”
Atmaprabhananda requested for some time to arrange for the money but Ayyappan illegally detained him in his office.
Atmaprabhananda begged,“Ayya (Sir), I am requesting you for some time to arrange for the money. Let me go, as I am unable to arrange for money from here.”
Ayyappan said,“Keep quiet, you are not going anywhere. I am not leaving you.”
Ayyappan refusing to let him go till an amount is given, Atmaprabhananda spent the entire night in Ayyappan’s custody. It was not an ordinary night, it was a nightmare.
The aadheenam was burning, Atmaprabhananda was begging for his life
The Sun Network Media Mafia had come with a huge Hindu Extremist militant mob to attack all the aadheenams belonging to His Divine Holiness. As per the local police report to the State, nearly 2000 to 2500 people attacked the Bengaluru aadheenam alone.
**4 March 2010:**Sri Nithya Atmaprabhananda had spent the whole night in detention by Sun Network Ayyappan. He continued begging Ayyappan to release him so that he could muster some money to hand over. Ayyappan, after long deliberation, seized Atmaprabhananda’s mobile phone and released him with the strong threat that he would be tracked completely for every movement of his, and he will not be able to leave Chennai without handing over the demanded money.

5th March 2010: After being released by Sun Network Ayyappan, Sri Nithya Atmaprabhananda was travelling in Chennai near the Pondy Bazar police station in T. Nagar. All of a sudden, from nowhere, Ayyappan’s vehicle overtook him and pulled up in front of his car and stopped him. Atmaprabha’s blood turned cold. Inside him questions were crowding: How did he track me so closely? He is really serious about the threat then….
What followed was a life-attack coupled with blackmail and extortion by Ayyappan on Atmaprabhananda right in front of the police station in T.Nagar in chennai! It was a familiar police station for Ayyappan; the police simply stood by him.
Ayyappan and his men forcibly pulled Atmaprabhananda out of his car and pushed him into Ayyappan’s vehicle, inflicting a head injury on him. With the blow on his head, Atmaprabhananda fainted. Regaining consciousness, Atmaprabhananda faced a violent Ayyappan who was demanding the money that he had asked for two days earlier to stop the Sun Network telecast of the fake video. He called the local police who were his aides and threatened Atmaprabhananda that if he doesn’t give the demanded money he will slap a false case on him and imprison him immediately. The police simply saluted him, showing obedience to his words.
Atmaprabhananda paid up a part amount of the demand by arranging money through a devotee and got released by the Sun Network blackmailer Ayyappan. While Atmaprabhananda was facing a life and death situation at hands of Sun Network Ayyappan, in parallel Bengaluru Aadheenam was burning.

What is Mob lynching - Silent Planned Assassination?
Silent Planned Assassinations -“carrying out assassinations using silent means (like ‘anonymous’ mob) so that no one may be blamed and it may be conveniently dismissed as an accident, natural occurrence or suicide.”
Lynching -“a premeditated extrajudicial killing by a group, informal public executions by a mob in order to punish an alleged transgressor, or to intimidate a group.” Mob lynching is a method employed for silent planned assassination such that nobody can be blamed or punished, to minimize social or legal backlash and responsibility.

1991 : Hindu Extremist Militants kill 18 humans of minority community
**On 12 December 1991,**Hindu Extremists Militant organisations called for a bandh (curfew) on 13 December alleging partisan behaviour of the Government of India.
The next day, Hindu Extremist Militants roamed the streets of Bangalore carrying sticks, shouting slogans, beating up laborers of ethnic minority communities. Businesses, movie theatres and even vehicles on minority communities were targeted. Soon the riots spread to the Mysore district and other parts of southern Karnataka. Ethnic minority communities were driven out and their property confiscated. A curfew of one week was declared under section 144. The arson and killing had a deep psychological effect in the minds of the victims that over two lakh individuals of various ethnic minority communities moved out of the state within a month. 18 humans were killedin the violence, **all of dark skinned ethnic minority communities.**The justification of the murder was (1) water crisis in the state, (2) the dark skinned ethnic minority community did not speak the regional language.

From 2nd March onwards, assassins of Sun Television Mafia along with Hindu Extremist militants hounded His Divine Holiness for His life. They had a tight tracking of His whereabouts through a network of implants placed in the aadheenam. No one knew anything other than the fact, “They want to Kill Him.”
From place to place across Karnataka and Tamilnadu, He was chased. Several attacks on His life were launched. Wherever He went, in His own monasteries, everywhere, He was attacked and His monasteries were burned, to send a clear message - “We are behind to get you anywhere.”
The disciples of Paramahamsa Nithyananda had a harrowing experience saving their beloved Guru’s life from the killing hands of the assassins.
Attempt to Murder Administrator of Monastery
“In Out of nowhere they barged into the temple, trespassing onto the property To keep me from fighting back, they injected me with a tranquilizer.
My kavi was ripped from my body, leaving me exposed in front of the public. They grabbed me by my mala, choking me, till it broke off my neck.
They defiled all the photos of Swamiji they could find.
When they smashed my head against the wall, my blood splattered all over the room. Using a clothes line, they wrapped it tightly around my neck, nearly choking me to death. Mutilating my arms, they laughed sadistically as I cried uncontrollably.
Using their boots, they crushed my face into the ground, while taunting me. My flesh was raw from all the beatings.
My body was so sore, it became numb. I, seriously, doubted whether I was going to make it out with my life.
I was consumed by them, my life and energy absorbed by them. I was sure I could never get it back. I was bleeding profusely.
As they left, they threatened me with their influence in the media and police, ensuring that I would not report the incident.”

2nd March 2010 - Tiruvannamalai Aadheenam - A narrow escape
The first attack was in Tiruvannamalai on the night of 2nd March, when the assassins caught wind that His Divine Holiness was in the Tiruvannamalai Aadheenam.

The Sanyasis at the Aadheenam
That night, the Sanyasis were just preparing for the everyday anna daan(free food service) for the sadhus(wandering ascetics) and the local people of Tiruvannamalai. Free food is served three times a day at the Tiruvannamalai Aadheenam for the wandering ascetics and local people.
There was a group of Sanyasis attending to these services near the gate, while another group was with His Divine Holiness in the quarters in the rear of the campus.
The group received information about the fake video release and the subsequent planned attacks as told in the Sun Television channel. It was a high alert for them. They had to move very quickly. Quick decisions were made. The Sanyasis in front continued with their responsibilities. The ones with His Divine Holiness sprung into action, ready to hit the road to keep His Divine Holiness in safety, which was their prime concern before anything else.

“Today we are going to finish Him off!”
They shouted at me, “Where is Nithyananda!”, “Today we are going to finish Him off!” I could not understand who these people were and who had sent them here. Who was wanting to kill Swamiji? Who would hate Swamiji? Why would someone want to kill Him. Swamiji is doing such tremendous service to humanity. Why would anyone have any hatred towards Him? On one side, all these questions were racing in my mind...but I had to handle these assassins who had landed out of the blue on my head when I was serving the everyday organic food to the mendicants. Far from a weapon to defend myself, the only thing I had was a long ladle and a bucket of tamarind rice in my hand. I did not know how to defend myself.
Attention of assassins diverted - His vehicle quietly exits
They continued attacking me like anything. Meanwhile, I suddenly saw, a vehicle emerging from the rear of the aadheenam towards the main gate. The moment I saw the vehicle emerging from inside, I knew that Swamiji was in it. I immediately led (diverted) the assassins to one extreme side of the broad area, so that the car could go past freely. I held my mala (rosary) and prayed for the vehicle to exit safely.
They safely flee out with Him - He is safe for now
I saw always, it is not the public who are the danger. It is a few extremist elements who are the danger. The crowd was yet to gain momentum. My fellow Sanyasis later told me that they had decided to take Swamiji out of the campus immediately in a small old vehicle, leaving behind His usual official vehicle. As per their plan, they had kept Him in the back seat in the middle of two Sanyasis, and a third Sanyasi sat in the front passenger seat, and they drove to the entrance of the Aadheenam at a medium pace. Praying to Swamiji to help them save His own life, they drove with a straight face and exited safely through the main entrance, escaping from the vicious eyes of the chief attackers who were busy vandalising the place and attacking me and a few of us at the gate to one extreme side of the campus.
The Assassins realize they had missed Him
Within twenty minutes, the assassins realised that they had missed Swamiji, and He had left. They became very angry and beat & broke everything and attacked me head-on. It all happened too fast.
They strangle me with my own kaavi (sacred ochre cloth)
The assassins were screaming abusive swear words at Swamiji and us, and started pushing me and strangling me with my own ochre cloth. I was helpless and defenceless against a whole pack of beasty men who had come well prepared for a ‘kill’. I felt I was facing my death, my body perspired, gasping for breath! I chanted the Guru Mantra and was about to faint, when soon I heard some people coming in.
The State Police arrive after everyone has left
The police arrived at the spot after some time. By then, the attackers were done with their destruction to life and property and left. The police merely dispersed the crowd, they didn’t care to even lift me and people around me. I went to the local police station and filed a complaint, accounting the attack. I asked for police protection also.
