Forced to starvation by The Income Tax Officer
An unlawful action against the community, by an Income Tax Officer, took a toll on many innocent people of the community.

“For three weeks, we had to live on rations meant for a few days,” says Ma Nithya Brahmanjnananda, as she wipes away tears that show the pain is still fresh, even years after the incident. “When the accounts were frozen, I was among a team of volunteers led by Ma Lokanayaki, Paramahamsa Nithyananda’s own mother. She sat for hours on end, picking through bags of rotting dhal (lentils), painstakingly separating the good lentils from the bad. She was covered in bugs but kept working so that we could all eat.”
**July and August 2010 :**Under the pressure of the Extremist Hindu Mafia, the Income Tax department re-opened all closed account books of the Temple Trusts, from the day of creation of the various trusts, upto 2010. For the Assessment Years 2006-07, 2007-08, 2008-09 and 2009-10 notice u/s.148 was issued to reopen the assessments and ascertain the anonymous donation within the meaning of Sec.115BBC and charge tax at the maximum marginal rate.
3 Illegal activities of the Income Tax Department Officer
The assessing officer justified his decision to re-open the assessmentby making a huge addition, however, the ld. Commissioner of Income tax (appeals) knocked down all the demands, stating that even the reopening of the assessment is completely against the law.
It tried to tax temple donations from a trust which was exempted from Tax.
It tried to tax at the highest possible rate available in the law - maximum marginal rate.
The Commissioner of Income tax (appeals) - quashes the evil plan
The Commissioner of Income tax (appeals) - CIT(A) - has very clearly mentioned that the assessment reopened is unlawful. The income tax Department’s Appellate authority gives a crucial expert opinion as to the illegality of the attack against the organization’s donations. The most important point to be noted here is that the department did not file any appeal against this order with Income tax Appellate Tribunal and accepted the order of CIT(A).

A false rape victim is brought in when the FAKE allegations are about to get quashed
Due to sheer lack of substance in even producing a rape victim for the levied charges, the High Court of Karnataka was poised to quash the case against His Divine Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda.
(Left) : The High Court was highly displeased by the State Police and was about to quash the case on the lack of merit. The Hon’ble Court said, “Under guise of suspicion how long can you (Police) torture a person mentally.”
