THE GREAT Difference ABOUT DESiRE& GUiLT

Page 9

To open up all the samskaras (patterns), all the unfulfilled desires, guilt.

Desire means I should live like this in future; guilt means I should have lived like that in the past. I should live like this is desire; I should have lived like that in the past is guilt.

Both are same energy; when it travels towards the future, it is desire; when it travels towards the past, it is guilt.

Page 10

IS IT WRONG TO HAVE DESIRES?

Desire is not wrong. Having so much of desires, you have never time to fulfil even one desire is wrong. Desire to have a cup of coffee is not wrong. But by the time coffee is ready, you are already worried about having a buttermilk.

By the time buttermilk is ready. you have already started worrying about the nectar. But finally from the morning till night you never drank anything. That is what is wrong.

When he runs to the end of his life, he realizes that none of his desires really gives him true happiness. Such a man is an anubhavan. An anubuthivan on the other hand clearly understands from his first desire that no desire when fulfilled will give him true happiness; There lies the difference.

Filling your being is the right job of the Master than fulfilling your desires. Fulfilling your desires are too small than filling your being. A Real Master fills your being

WONDER WHY YOUR DESiRES ARE NOT BECOMiNG REALiTY?

You do not manifest what you desire, but you manifest what you believe. You manifest what you perceive, you manifest what you cognize. If you cognize struggle as you, if you believe you as a struggle, you will manifest only that. If you believe, if you cognize , if you perceive, you as the ups and downs you will manifest only that in your life. So the first basic truth, so if you perceive yourself as a struggle, you will manifest only that.

Now this gap, struggle is what is called incompletions, mental patterns.

For example: I really desire wealth. But deep down you believe wealthy people are arrogant people, bad people they do lot of wrong things, if you believe wealthy people are arrogant, bad wrong, they do many wrong things, they exploit others, if you have that belief how are you going to manifest wealth in your life?

Page 20

When the completion starts happening, your perception, your beliefs, become your desires. Your desire and your belief becoming one, is what is called as Completion. Then simply you start manifesting, what you want to manifest.

Same way when Shankara says there is enlightenment, he uses that word as a stick. With that stick he will burn all other desires of you. Automatically the idea of enlightenment attracts you so much, all other desires are burnt. Finally this one desire, enlightenment is also dropped in the same fire; that also disappears. Then you are enlightened.

Except transformation, there is no other way to escape from desires. Just divert the energy and let it become pure. When you transform you will have the pure desire without it being directed towards any object. Desire without object is energy. When your energy is attached to an object, it becomes desire and when the desire is detached from the object it becomes energy.

When man ponders over the pleasures of the senses, there arises an association with it; means you start associating yourself with it. From association arises the desire, from desire the desire turns into anger, from anger arises delusion - unconsciousness; from the delusion - unconsciousness makes the mind unsteady. The destruction of understanding happen in an unsteady mind and the destroyed understanding annihilates the person.

THE DOMINO EFFECT OF HAVING DESiRES

Page 30

When you mature, your desires do mature. If you decide that your desires should not get matured, you stop your maturity. You stop your maturity. Maturity of the desires and fears is what is called Renunciation. Renunciation is not denunciation. In Hindu tradition, Vairāgya is not arāgya. Vīrāgā is not arāgā. Renunciation is not denunciation. Maturity getting added to your desires and fears.

WHEN YOU MATURE, SO DOES YOUR DESiRES

Page 31

With surrender, the first thing you will experience is, your desires and fears will get matured. End, they will completely disappear, that is different – that is the ultimate experience. But the moment you even start practicing surrender, your desires and fears will start getting matured

Celebrate your desires getting matured. Celebrate your fears getting matured. Celebrate your anxieties getting matured. Celebrate your decisions getting matured. Celebrate your vision getting matured, you will celebrate Surrender; because in real surrender, spiritual surrender, the worm is becoming butterfly

When some desire comes, consider it then suddenly quit. Suddenly unclutch and experience the truth in you.

This is a very strong truth, a very profound statement. He says directly,' whenever desire arises in you, consider it'. He means,' just see, don't judge'. He is simply asking you to be an unbiased witness, an observer and not to judge whether something is right or wrong. If you judge something as wrong you will not be able to drop the idea or desire.

Page 35

Here Bhagavān Paramaśiva is saying, ‘suddenly uncluth from it’; disconnect from the desire. See, when you filled with some desire and you suddenly disconnect, you will experience a new inner space, an empty space, that inner space which is ready to experience your own reality.

INTRODUCTION

There are seven layers in the pyramid leading up to bliss. We are going to explore the different levels and decide where we are and discuss how to go into bliss. These energy centre or layers in the pyramid correspond with the seven centers of energy in the Vedic system. Each Centre represents an emotional state as well as a state of the desire. As we fulfill the needs of each Centre, we move up in energy till we reach a state of fulfillment. This is also known as self-actualization

Page 39

Instead of starting at the bottom of the pyramid and trying gradually go up and up in life, we can turn our focus inward and experience our true state, which is bliss. When we are in bliss, top of the pyramid, all our true desires will be fulfilled, everything in the pyramid automatically comes to us. Bliss is experiencing, being happy, being satisfied.
