Jupiter in Vedic Scriptures
A king had seven sons. One day, sadhūs (holy mendicants) came begging --------
for alms, but the wives of 5 नम. यी हवडाय महाना
these sons turned them away empty handed. Jupiter became angry with them, and as a result the prosperity of the kingdom diminished.
The youngest wife visited a sage to ask for a solution to this problem. The sage advised her to fast on Thursdays and to give alms to spiritual people. The master also suggested that if the husband of any one of the wives were to go to a foreign country, the wife should create two human figures and place them behind her door, which would ensure the safe return of her husband.

The youngest wife did so, as her husband was gone on a tour to a foreign country.
The other six sons were also gone on a tour to a neighboring country. The youngest wife did the ritual, as instructed by the sage. Her husband was in a country where the king had died. The king had no son. In order to find a suitable successor, a garland was put on the tusk of a female elephant and whosoever was garlanded by the elephant would be king. The elephant put the garland on the youngest son's neck. He became king.
The youngest wife's spiritual discipline brought prosperity to the kingdom.
The other six wives also had a change of heart and began to do Vara Puja (ritual worship of Jupiter) on Thursdays for Jupiter to bless their families and kingdom as well.

The fish symbolizes fertility, prosperity and regeneration. When creation first began, Visnu, who sustains life, appeared in the form of a fish. This manifestation of Him is known as Matsya-avatar, the fish avatar. The primary objective of Visnu's fish incarnation is to save life and to regenerate the seed preserved

therein. Likewise, Pisces in the last sign of the Vedic zodiac; it is the sign where forces dissolve and take birth anew.
Pisces natives are emotional and empathic; they can sometimes lose consciousness of their boundaries. They often look as if they do not belong to this life. Expansive and intelligent, they are enthusiastic, but not always wisely. Their enthusiasm may be a little blind. They can be very easily influenced and impressed.
Their weakness lies in their dependency on others and their reliance on addictions and day-dreaming. Because they tend to have unrealizable and dream-like aspirations, they need to be more discriminative.
They may lack boundaries and lose their clarity and practicality. They don't really have a personality as such and take the form of the people around them. They may strive to attach others to themselves, too, and can indulge in self-pity when they do not receive affection.

Energy Centers and Pisces
The Anahata cakra - Becoming Love
There are seven major energy centers in our body, called cakras in Sanskrit. They are directly connected to our emotions and impact different aspects of our personality and the way we relate to ourselves, others, and to Existence.
Each planet resonates with a particular energy center in the body. The loving energy of Jupiter in Pisces is connected to the anahata cakra, located in the heart region. This energy works on the cakra and tends to imbalance it when it is too oriented towards getting love, attention and recognition from others. Anāhata flowers when you start giving love unconditionally.
It is a proven fact that cakras correspond to and affect the functioning of the specific glands that constitute the body's endocrine system. The deep need for love can create dependency and emotional

restlessness which can drain your system, creating chronic diseases or depression in the long run.
You should keep an eye on your diet, which can be extreme when depression or low moods assail you. Pisces can be prone to bulimia and seeking sweets to counterbalance a lack of affection. Native borns are generally prone to addiction and suffer from guilt as a result. Pisces should understand and address the roots of this addiction.
To keep anāhata balanced, developing awareness and experiencing how you can flower by sharing your love will benefit you. You can give this teaching a try today: 'suffocate others with your love'. This attitude will give contentment and the expansion you are seeking.
A balanced anahata cakra will manifest a broad and generous personality, one that radiates bliss.

solutions and choose foods, mental attitudes, behaviors, exercise, relationships that can help them to balance kapha characteristics.
Food items to balance kapha:
Kapha people should consume little fried or fatty foods; avoid icy drinks, sweets or excessive amounts of bread. Butter, ice cream, cheese and milk should be avoided; they are among the worst foods which aggravates kapha. The consumption of salt should be kept in check, as it creates water retention in kapha body types.
They should enjoy plenty of fresh vegetables, raw fruits and salads. Pungent, bitter, and astringent tastes decrease kapha influences. Black pepper, ginger, cumin, chili, and some other spices provide the pungent taste; bitterness is provided by some green leafy vegetables like lettuce, endive and some green vegetables and beans provide the astringent taste, like cucumber and unripe fruits.

Five Techniques for a Pisces Mind
Be responsible!
We are aware of the state of affairs around us and we know we can improve many problems. But, either because of laziness, fear of commitment or fear to take up responsibility, we just keep quiet, watch and criticize our surroundings. The underlying guilt we feel is a hangover of our irresponsibility. Taking steps to correct a situation by doing our best to improve it is the first step towards becoming a conscious individual. Whenever you criticize the world, you just add more negativity to it. What can you do to bring more awareness to it? How can you change what you dislike in it? Align your thoughts, words and deeds; then the real revolution will happen.
Don't possess others!
When you come closer to people, you have a wonderful chance to meet old, deep and unpleasant samskaras or behaviors. You can easily ignore them,
Moon in Pisces 61
Page 28
and blame the other for not being as you expect. As you look into them, and let them fall, a different kind of love starts to shine ... A new understanding. You start relating, beyond relationships. You move beyond bondage. You can relate with as many people as possible, but remain free and let them also be free. Don't leave any footprints in others' lives.
Let the Past be Past ...
We constantly live with our past. We bring our past emotions to the present, and it is absolutely not necessary. Bringing the old to the new feels like adding flavor to life ... No! It's just another addiction that diverts you from reality, that's all. Either you reproduce your past in the name of adding flavor to life, or you live with reality, flowing with alertness and clarity. Carrying your emotional luggage around is the most dangerous thing you can do to yourself! It can cripple you at crucial times where you need to break through. Let go of it! You need to be sharp to take decisions that
62 Moon in Pisces
Page 29
will affect your future on work and social issues. Add an extra dose of awareness, and unclutch.
Accept the inevitable ...
Don't waste too much time fixing relationships which bring chaos into your mind. Work on keeping your inner space always pure, free from others' problems. Let their resentment not disturb you in any way. Already, you have your own problems, so why add more to them by taking care of theirs! If this relationship constantly drains you, if it brings you down, then drop it! After all, what more can you lose? What more will the other lose? Both resist the inevitability of life, and that does not allow the relation to move to a higher step. You had a beautiful relationship, now it is over, and you may grieve over it for some time ... This was part of the deal from the beginning, it was there as a possibility from the beginning. And that's what makes relationship so total. Accepting this will raise both to a level of deeper friendship and sharing.

Live the Master!
You want to achieve something in the internal world but end up saying, 'I know it is right, but I'm struggling. I know but ... ' If you are caught in this bind, you won't achieve anything. Nothing can be done for you or by you. You are stuck in the causal layer of energy. This is the layer where you are trapped when you are in depression. You know you want to do something, you know you have the ability to do it, but you give reasons for not being able to achieve it. To get out of this stalemate, take a strong step ahead and work towards your goal in an integrated manner. In any situation, think: 'How will the Master behave in this situation?' Of course, Master would never let the mind create dilemmas. So live Him, live the Master! Any problem can be solved through this line of thought.
