Aruṇācala Māhātmya — Sanskrit Text

The Aruṇācala Māhātmya — the glorification of Aruṇācala, the hill of Tiruvannamalai, from the Māheśvara Khaṇḍa of the Skanda Purāṇa. It tells how Śiva manifested at Aruṇācala as the infinite column of light whose top and base Brahmā and Viṣṇu could not find, and sets out the merit of circumambulating the hill, the Kārttikai Dīpam festival, and the tīrthas and shrines of the kṣetra. Given here in full in both halves, pūrvārdha and uttarārdha — 2,069 verses across 37 adhyāyas, Devanāgarī with IAST transliteration.
