Passage 1
The Differentiation of the Shaktis
Passage 2
Of these nine, Shakti and Bindu constitute the differentiation of the Shakti. The differentiation of the Shakti belonging to the remaining seven—who constitute the differentiation of Shiva—is also seven. They are as follows: Shakti for Shiva; Bindu for Nada; Manonmani for Sadashiva; Maheshvari for Mahesha; Uma for Rudra; Lakshmi for Vishnu; and Sarasvati for Brahma. Whenever Parashiva, abiding in each of the seven forms of Shiva, performs his functions, Parashakti remains inseparably united with him and, assuming the name appropriate to each form, acts as his companion.

Passage 4
As Shakti, as Bindu-Shakti, becoming Manonmani, as Maheshvari, as Uma, as Lakshmi, and as Vani, thus does the one Shakti appear in association with Shiva and the others. In whatever form the Lord stands, she too stands in that form.
Passage 5
Parashakti abides together with all seven of the divisions of Shiva, beginning with Nā. Likewise, Suddha Shiva stands by taking all seven divisions of Shakti, beginning with Shakti, as His means. Since Shakti and Shiva thus remain united in perfect harmony, like a tree and its shade, every divine form manifested by Shakti is a form common to both Shakti and Shiva. Even though they remain united without separation, Shakti is the consort of Shiva. Therefore, based on the specific form and qualities belonging to Shakti and Shiva, they are spoken of as the divisions of Shakti and the divisions of Shiva.
Passage 6
Just as fire, though one in substance, is distinguished by its form as redness and by its quality as heat, so the Supreme Reality, though one alone, is described separately as Shiva by virtue of its form, the radiance that transcends everything, and as Shakti by virtue of its quality, the power that mingles with everything and draws it toward itself.
Passage 7
Shakti emerges from Shiva. From Shakti emerges Sadākhya. Sadākhya is the state in which Shakti and Shiva are united. It is because these two, Shakti and Shiva, are united that the universes, consisting of both moving and unmoving entities, arise in the world. *Although they thus manifest, Lord Shiva, who remains united with Shakti, is an eternal celibate. Shiva-Shakti is an eternal maiden. All the actions performed while abiding as Shakti and Shiva are those of our minds.
Passage 8

Sakti means the power that exists inseparably with Siva, like the heat in fire, the fragrance in a flower, and the rays in the sun. Its form is knowledge itself. That knowledge is called Parasakti. In order that souls may attain the ripening of their impurities, this knowledge, undertaking the five divine acts, abides as Tirodhanasakti and functions as Icchasakti, Jnanasakti, and Kriyasakti. These Sakti manifestations, which arose from Lord Siva, who conceived the five divine acts, are called Nishkalasaktis.
Passage 19
As for why Lord Siva said to Goddess Uma, “husband, son, father, and elder brother”: since Uma is the Bhogasakti of Sakalamahesvaramurti, she is called his husband’s consort. Since Sakala Nishkala Sadakhya arose from Sakti, Sadakhya is called her son; since Sakti arose from Siva, Siva is called her father; and since she is the power that abides inseparably with Siva, she is called his elder sister. Thus, the terms have been used according to their respective relationships.
