Sweeping the temple floor.

திருக்கோயிலினுள்ளும் புறம்பும் உள்ள குப்பைகளை மெல்லிய துடைப்பத்தினாலே மெய்யன்போடு நித்தமும் திரு வலகிடுபவர்கள் காமம் வெகுளி பொய் என்னும் குப்பை களை அகழ்ந்து போக்கிப் பரிசுத்தராய் விளங்குவார்கள்.

Those who lovingly sweep away the refuse inside and outside the sacred temple every day with a soft broom will dig out and remove the refuse of lust, anger, and deceit, and shine forth as purified beings.

திருக்கழுமலமும்மணிக்கோவை.

Tirukkazhukalamummanikkovai.

கருமுதற் றொடங்கிப் பெருஙா ளெல்லாங்

Beginning with karma and continuing through all the long years,

காமம் வெகுளி கழிபெரும் பொய்யென்னுந்

lust, anger, and the great, destructive falsehood known as deceit

தூய்மையில் குப்பை தொலைவின்றிக் கிடந்ததை

Having removed the scattered rubbish from the area of purification

அரிதி னகழ்ந்து போக்கி.

by carefully clearing it away.
