பாசஞானம், பசுஞானம்.

Pasa Jnana and Pasu Jnana.

சொற் பிரபஞ்சமும் பொருட் பிரபஞ்சமுமாகிய இருவ கைப் பிரபஞ்சங்களின் வாயிலாக ஆன்மாவின்கண் நிகழும் அறிவு பாசஞானமாம். நான் என்னும் முனைப்பால் ஆன்மா வின்கண் நிகழும் அறிவு பசுஞானமாம். இவையிரண்டினாலும் முதல்வனை அறிய முடியாது. ஏகதேச அறிவையுடைய ஆன்மா சிவஞானத்தால் சிவனை அறிதல் வேண்டும்.

The knowledge that arises in the soul through the two kinds of universes—the universe of words and the universe of objects—is Pasa Jnana. The knowledge that arises in the soul through the assertion “I” is Pasu Jnana. Through these two, the First One cannot be known. The soul, whose knowledge is limited to a particular domain, must know Siva through Siva Jnana.
