The Threefold Divine Body

உருவு செயல் பெயர் முதலியவற்றைப் பொருந்தாத சிவ பெருமான் பஞ்சகிருத்தியஞ்செய்கு ஆன்மாக்களது மும்மலங் களை நீக்கி மோட்சத்தைக் கொடுத்தல் வேண்டுமென்னும் பெருங்கருணையினாலே அருவம், அருவருவம், உருவம் என்னும் மூவகைத் திருமேனி கொண்டருளினார்.

Lord Shiva, who is beyond form, action, name, and the like, graciously assumed the three kinds of divine bodies— formless, formless-with-form, and embodied form—out of His infinite compassion, in order to perform the five cosmic acts, remove the three impurities from souls, and grant them liberation.
