Mānata Dīkṣā

ஆமை தன் முட்டையைத் தான் நினைப்பதனால் சிசு உற் பத்தியாதல்போல, ஆசாரியன் சீடனைத் தனது அருளுரு வாய்ப் பாவித்து மாயாமலத்தை நீக்குதல் மானத தீஷை எனப்படும். இது பாவனை எனவும் படும்.

Just as a tortoise gives birth to its young by merely thinking of its eggs, the preceptor removes the impurity of māyāfrom the disciple by contemplating the disciple as his own form of grace. This is called Mānata Dīkṣā. It is also known as Bhāvana.
