Eight volumes of the Arabic and Persian chronicles of medieval India in English translation - Al-Biruni, Utbi, Baihaki, the Tarikh-i Firishta, the Akbar-nama, the Tuzuk-i Jahangiri and scores more, given in the chroniclers' own words. This is the primary-source collection on which most later writing about the period rests. NOTE: this text comes from optical character recognition of the printed volumes and has not been proof-read; proper names and transliterated Arabic and Persian terms carry the most errors. The chronicle headings in the scan are too damaged to divide the book by chronicle, so it is divided into even parts instead - no text has been omitted.
